Our Big Girl

Bethany turned one! So we threw a little family party.

She seemed more interested in other stuff than her birthday cake. We must admit, it had kind of a lame candle, but it's all we had... It blew itself out, but she needs the extra luck, so we gave her the credit.

She loved her cake, made by Hiram. Most of it ended up in her mouth (though her bottom was covered in crumbs when we lifted her up).

Mount Never-Rest

Hiram's been working himself like a madman this summer. Full-time night shifts plus nursing classes. Plus, doing lots of nice things for Liz and Bethany:

Summer (Not) Lovin'

Bethany LOVES to take baths. So we thought she'd LOVE the little pool we got her. Au contraire.

We could not take a picture of her in the pool. She immediately panicked.
