Memorial Day

This Memorial Day we drove over to the Great Salt Lake and played with the Thornton clan. We had a little picnic, and then we went "swimming" at the "beach." I actually didn't even know that the Great Salt Lake had a beach or that we were allowed in the water.

Bethany was so excited to break out her swimsuit! But it's sure not an easy one to fit in her car seat...

By the way, this morning, Bethany was being EXTRA helpful and watering the weeds too:)

We took a little walk up in Little Cottonwood Canyon the day before Memorial Day. It was pretty chilly up there. For that reason, and the fact that the girls are too heavy to carry any great distance (especially uphill), it didn't last too long. But it was an adventure, and we're glad we went.

Uncle Sam

We had a visit from Sam this May. He stayed a couple of weeks, and he was so fun (and insanely helpful- washing the dishes, watching the girls, making us lasagna, pruning our friend's tree...) It was so fun seeing him interact with Bethany and Hannah. Bethany still asks Liz to bounce on the trampoline like Sam did. Here are some photos:

A Little Cuteness

It's so fun to see Hannah get excited. She does this little bouncy, arm-flapping dance. Here's a little sample of the dance (though she got a little camera-shy).
